‘Funny Valentine - The Story Of Chet Baker’ was described by All About Jazz as the definitive biography of this great jazz musician. The book was published in July 2012 by Melrose Books in the UK, and is available through Amazon globally.

This looks interesting, and is previously unreleased in any format. The first seven tracks were recorded at the International Jazz Festival in Laren, Holland in August 1975. Downbeat magazine reviewed his set favourably, with Dan Morgenstern suggesting that Chet's playing that day "had the emotional quality we associate with the late Billie Holiday. The concert was recorded for Dutch radio, so the sound quality should be good. The three bonus tracks are taken from a US show the previous month - Schlitz Salute to Jazz and the American Popular Song. Chet played three tunes by Rogers and Hart, including 'Have You Met Miss Jones'.
